It's all about EVOC! (emergency vehicle operation course)

it's like auto-x on steroids. very intense, especially if you run code 3 with all the sirens going and chasing/being chased by another vehicle.

Sometimes down at Marina, we have to wait for the cops to finish before we can setup the auto-x cones. I wouldn't call it auto-x on steroids. Maybe auto-x on marajuana, because it's all slowed down a bit

We've all wished we could go play cat and mouse with them though.

I just did EVOC at Santa Rosa JC in my Ambulance 4 weeks ago. It was so much fun. We had a three lane stoplight in the middle of the auto-x course and it went from 1 to 3 lanes then back to 1 under the light. it was intense.

those "retired" cars are so beat up. if you rev it too high you could blow the engine easiliy.

 

That is awesome. They should setup some of these courses for the paramedics.

I still can't get over the cop cars that ran over so many cones a long time ago during a Marina auto-x.

A couple months ago they were doing motorcycle training and we had to wait for them. It kinda sucked till one of them fell over going maybe 5mph. We all had a good laugh.

 

i had a blast when i did my evoc, we didnt use some old beat up cars though =)

Police Interceptors arent as slow as everyone thinks, they can hold their own in straight aways and in cornering suprisingly.
