ldivinag,

I didnt know that Stone Temple Pilots (STP) has a WRX??
hahahahahahaha j/k. I know what you meant.

From my experience...ATP's dyno was a bit lower than Shivs

Ah, there it is. The only 180-190hp claims I've seen for the EVOs come from Shiv (I don't pay too much attention to the EVO boards so I don't know if that's what other tuners are getting) and the 168 claim is close enough to his results as well, so I assumed Vishnu was the baseline used.

Either way, I'm surprised that an ECU reflash gets the WRX right into EVO power territory. Now to reflash the brakes into brembos...

I don't know if it correlates at all to the "AWD" mode of that particular dyno, but.....

My other car club (The Region Of Doom) had an Impala SS dyno day (which the cars are obviously RWD) at ATP last Fall. And EVERY car there (many of which had been dynoed before, multiple times) was reading approx 20 HP low.

The dyno was consistent and repeatable (and thus worked fine for ECU tuning, which is primarily what we were using it for that day), just low. And it was right at 20 HP low (or very close) across multiple cars. All numbers are corrected to standard conditions (temp, baro, humidity) of course.

Well I put down 9x10^5 horsepower on my buttdyno.

Beat that you damn number racers!

(You guys should just add random values to your dyno numbers...because you obviously aren't interested in the most accurate assessment of your car's power. You just want a big ricey number!!! )

You guys are messed up. He was just asking if it was true, thats all. He said nothing about that being on Shivs dyno. So, I dont get why you guys are saying that about the guy

UNLESS you are talking about the one who SUPPOSEDLY has 300whp......maybe thats it huh??

I think instead of AVERAGING his 2 runs, he forgot to divide by 2.

Numbers are for girls.

Just tune your cars and whoop *** on the track.

For sport compact car magazine article, my car made 218hp and 198ft.lbs of torque.

That same time, the car ran 12.9@104.6.

I will give you 50hp "handicap" to those of you with silly numbers from either of the dynos. Get your booty to the track and show me a 12.9 sec slip. So, if you make up to 260hp from the ATP dyno, for example, try to run 12.9.

Girls...

exactly...

in the 4 wheelin' world, a magazine came with this test. a 20 degree ramp where you climb with your truck. you see how far you can go and then measure that distance and divide by your wheelbase.

for a while, everyone wanted to their their ramp numbers. but when it came to actually 'wheelin their rigs, some werent as capable.

Well, I was actually showing that the rumor that ATP's dyno reads higher than Shivs, was not true...Thats all. I could give a rats a$$ about those crapy numbers from Shiv (shown on ATP's dyno). So, I hope your "Girl" comment wasnt totaly directed to me.

I have ran a 13.0 before. Not on paper, so maybe it doesnt count. But hopefully when I am done tuning, I will go and get that or better on paper Also, wouldnt a 12.5 - 11.9 be whooping *** on the track?

We'll see.

Sure I will auto-x. I doubt I will get best times, but I am pretty good at it.

Back in the RS days, when I auto-xed, me and Adrian would always come within a second of each other.

And,.. if you don't know who Adrian is, you are even a bigger girl.

Top speed, 1/4, track, auto-x. I will do it all. Not claiming to be the best at either.

Just pointing out that the pure # game is silly and means nothing, unless you dyno your car, then do something to it on the spot, dyno it again and then comare your old #'s to the new #'s.

Otherwise, it is like trying to figure out who is a better volleyball player, Michael Jordan or Pavel Bure.

Dooo yooo understrand the words that are coming out of my mouuuuuth?
