For the record, any of you that are vehemently against doing a road tune for safety issues can ask Ed to do it on a dyno. *I believe* he has a good-enough relationship with Mike that he is able to use Gruppe-S' and there is another Mustang dyno here in San Jose that he is able to tune on. ....just a thought....
Still, the whole brake line thing just doesn't hold water for me. The chances of some catastrophic failure occuring on your car while road tuning are just as good as they are any other time. By that reasoning, there is no safe time whatsoever to drive your car hard except for on a dyno. Being in your car, whether driving hard or just commuting, involves inherant risks. You're obviously not risk averse... you just admitted in your post that you were street racing and your brake line broke. You're okay with that but anti road tuning? It doesn't make any sense whatsoever. Anybody who regularly sees full throttle on the street has NO RIGHT to have a problem with road tuning.... and that's essentially all of us.
At least if that brake failure were to occur while road tuning w/ Ed in Davis, you'd be on an improbably long and straight road and could coast to a stop without problem. Ehhhhh... maybe go off into a flat field of lentils or something, hahaha.
The runs are consistent as can be. I don't understand why people feel otherwise. At any rate, if they were inconsistent, that's real life and your car should be tuned as such...
Ed does a good job tuning. Threads with customer results don't really seem like the place to talk ****... $0.02

Lets see what Davis PD has to say about if it is safe or not?
policeweb@ci.davis.ca.us
Dear Davis PD,
I was curious if it was ok to operate a "road dyno" within city limits. This would involve driving a car from 0-90+mph on city streets. Have no fears how ever in regards to insurance and liability issues as the company in question is operated out of an apartment and is not properly licensed in Davis. I am assuming this is ok.
Sincerly,
A concerned citizen
so what do you think guys?

if you are gonna do a letter you might as well say what you want to say, not behind some proper language and ****.
this is dissapointing, dre.
