2004 wrx wagon looking for more power, but I just want the minimalistic approach to increasing HP - Bang for your buck .
Right now stock everything except KN filter.
Shooting for 210 whp.
Future mods as follows:
catless uppipe/catless downpipe/Turbo back
COBB AP V2
A proper tune.
Questions: ( Please help answer in numerical order )
1. Any other supporting mods needed to achieve my goal ie fuel pump, colder plugs? Please be specific.
2. Is this achievable on the stock turbo without increasing boost? keeping the stock psi off the wastegate.
3. Is the COBB AP tunable, as in dropping on a dyno/tuner is able to clean up A/F , +/- Fuel as needed. ? Seems to me it is good for uploading basemaps, cool little features.
Thanks

2. This is definitely achievable on the stock turbo, but I generally raise boost a bit over stock to make good mid range torque. On the conservative side, I would run about 16psi peak tapering to 13-14psi by redline. FYI, the stock boost level is about 13.5psi peak. The stock wastegate spring pressure is 7psi.
3. The Cobb AP is a good option for tuning. We can do a custom dyno/road tune and load the final map onto your AP. The other option is to tune via OpenECU. This does not require that you purchase anything. Instead we just tune the car in the same manner and flash the final map directly to your ECU.
Thanks

Its been a while since I've had time to post any graphs, so here are a few recent tunes:
2005 STI with Cobb Catted Downpipe, Catback, Grimmspeed EBCS, Spearco TMIC, and Walbro Fuel Pump:

2005 Legacy GT - Catted TBE, Hallman MBC:

2011 STI - Perrin UP, DP, CB, Headers, Inlet, AEM CAI, DW1300cc Injectors, Aeromotive Stealth Fuel Pump, EQ Air Pump Deletes:

And finally, not a Subie but still a lot of fun!
2007 Corvette Z06 - Catback Exhaust, Intake, Custom Tune (baseline and tuned runs shown):

Thanks

when i get a date for the ewg dump re-route ill make a tune appt. ed,is there a way to check what my idc was during my last tune? if i remember correctly you told me i was around 89%. this go around i def want to step up the psi and how aggresive the tune is,would a set of 850cc be a good idea?
I take it your doing a swap on something so you have something nice and light?
