Eight States Raise Their Gas Tax (including CA)

Funny how this perfectly coinsided with the BART strike...

Eight states raise their gas tax

Eight states raise their gas tax - Jul. 2, 2013

Eight states increased their gas tax this week, according to a report from the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy.

The largest boost was in Wyoming, which raised its gas tax by 10 cents a
gallon, followed by Connecticut, California, Maryland, Kentucky, Nebraska, Georgia and North Carolina.

The increases went in to effect on July first.

Missing the point here; state of Commiefornia will still get their tax revenue regardless of what the overall gas price will be. I was just being paranoid/sarcastic (puts on aluminum hat)

I had to switch from BART to driving this week (along with how many other people?). Guess what that did to all of my local gas station que lines?

Only 20 cents?

Seems like it's getting about time for them to have some type of issues with the local refineries again soon then to push our gas prices even higher (even though the local refineries aren't the ones used to support the local gas stations).

Most of my commuting is by bicycle anyways, I don't drive as much as I used to. That being said, this still sucks.
