Hey everyone,
finally stopped by Eggettes in SSF last night. I know it's been around for a while (2yrs?), but I've only been back in the Bay Area for 6 mos or so.
Anyways, those egg crepe thingies are pretty dang yummy!! Now I understand what all the fuss is about. Those little egg whatchamacallits pretty much melt in your mouth and aren't sickly sweet or heavy, like many desserts and sweets. Oh, their boba/tapioca pearl drinks are pretty good as well. This is coming from a guy who used to drink them almost everyday in S. Cal, where there are boba places on EVERY street. I pretty much know my boba.
I think I'm gonna have to stop by and bring my buddies more often, Kevin aka Turbo-X!
(His family owns the place) I'll even practice my Chinese, so I won't be made fun of anymore....yeah, my Chinese is pretty sorry--Mandarin & Cantonese, but I get by, despite funny looks from waiters, my relatives, and wisea$&, boba & egg crepe salesmen...KEVIN!?
j/k
Well, just thought I'd share my experience. Perhaps others have been meaning to check out Eggettes too, so maybe this will push them to swing by.
Peace
CL

btw, also met several Scooby owners, who were having a mini-meet. Sorry forgot everyone's names/handles, except Marc/Owlboogie.
