ebrake question
ebrake question
Just recently my ebrake light has been coming up while im driving, like it would just automatically turn on. I'd stop the put the ebrake up and then back down, then its gone, then when I drive for like 5 minutes it pops up again. Does anyone know whats wrong with it? Oh and sorry if this is not the right place to post, but I just thought Id get more responses here.
Thanks,
Tony

this used to happen on my civic.
This should just be a cable adjustment I think. Maybe need to adjust the little gear under the rear rotors? I would do some searching over on nasioc, and maybe find a download for the Subaru manuals and see what is attached.
I know there are 2 cables the connect to the ebrake handle that lead back to the ebrake drums in the rear. I am not sure about any wires though.
I remember something about having to attach a wire to the ebrake for a turbo timer install so maybe that is the sensor that is reading funky.

wires are under the center console at the bottom right of the E barake .
Push the rubber boot/flap away and take a peak and see if the wires/switch are okay. If not drop by one day I take a look for free and see if there is an old french fry blocking the ebrake.lol..
