my buddy just bought an ebay generic up and down pipe for his suby (i told him it wasnt the best idea ) i took a look at them and can tell the welds are **** me being a pretty good tig welder or at least i can do better then the current weld im redoing all the welds to make them stronger and less likely to crack i was wondering if this will really make any difference and what other problems will he run into

 

Uhh, no idea what you mean, but I am running an ebay flex style UP and so far it's fine. The welds looked pretty good imo.

i think ebay parts are hit or miss....

 

i have a ebay dp...the welds look great on it

 

Unless the welds are complete crap, there shouldn't be any issues. Just make sure he has quality gaskets.

 

Ive heard mostly good things from the ERZ up and down pipes.
I guess you gotta do your research first to see which ebay ones are good
