On the freeway we now have these burst radar things that hit you- like suddenly "on" K-band full strength, then tapering off.

These I believe are part of the 511.org traffic monitoring system, data from them feeds those signs that say how long it will take to get places and you can go to the 511.org web site and see how fast traffic is moving.

Correct this has been going on for a while. It had just started when I got my v1. I called them about it they said its a huge problem and didn't seem like they had a way around it in the meantime..........

if its completely full strength and then declines imediately you are ok....if it builds up then worry.........also KA tends to be the winner

I drove on 280 from 101 to De Anza and it went off like 5 times. It even goes off on 85 and 87 as well where it never used to. I thought it was breaking.

yea I hate that. I think they must have turned it on recently though. All down 580-680-880. Seems like there's a sensor every 2 miles or so. :|

when i drive i dont pay attention to the K and X bands... the only one i really worry about is the Ka band.. thats the only one that really seems to be worth worrying about anyways.. K and X always show up when ever im near a store
