East Bay Housing Info?
I currently live and work in SF. I live with a roomate who is tolerable but not someone I enjoy living with. I used to live in Freakmont. It was otay. I moved to be closer to work but I realize that living in the city really isn't for me. It also doesn't hurt that the GF lives out east and it would be nice to be a lil' closer to her.
I do have few questions though... First off where do I look for apartments for rent? I've tried Craigslist but they list mostly roomates and inlaws. What is arealistic price to pay for a 1bdrm apt? I would go with a studio if I find something decent. I'm thinking of something as far as Dublin/Pleasonton as long as I'm near the BART line.
Anyone with leads or info on their own situation? I'm probably looking for a Jan 1st move in.

i'd say Walnut Creek would be the place to move to.....its closer to the city then pleasanton and dublin and it would be a little cheaper as well.
Also there is HUGE bart station in Walnut Creek.

That was originally written as a joke... but the longer I live here the more plausible it seems.
Let's just say that I picked out a nice new Remington 870 Express Super Mag 12 guage (3 1/2 inch booya) that I'll pick up by the end of the month. If they try and take it, I sure hope I catch 'um.

Isn't Walnut Creek kinda fancy? Never been through there. I'm thinking less than $900 per month. The cheaper the better of course... Especially since I will be commuting.
How would I look for WC housing? It's pretty sparse on CL.

I rexamined my needs and it looks like the Dublin area would work best. Anyone from there that could be able to give info on pricing for a 1 bdrm apt and where to look? Newpapers? The Tri-valley Herald is the only one I can find online. Craigslist doesn't have many listings for that area.
The situation is this... GF goes to school/may work in Stockton and I work in SF. Dublin looks like it's in between and has BART access for me.
