It's the holiday weekend and I heard somewhere on the news the local PD's are setting up multiple DUI checkpoints. Like that's something you don't already know. So consider this a reminder.

I know I like to go out and have a couple of drinks with friends. Sometimes though you don't even realize that you're juuuusssstttt over the legal limit. Next thing you know, you're in hand cuffs and being put in jail. Not cool. I've had a couple of close calls myself. So, play it safe and spend the extra few bucks on cab rides this weekend.

I know there is usually a checkpoint on first street leading to 580 in Livermore. Also, downtown Livermore near Blue Bar and the Saloon is usually swarming with police (is there a starbucks down there?....j/k). Alberto's in Pleasanton is another place that's got a million cops just waiting to get their hands on someone. Be careful out there and play it safe. Take a cab.

Usually in Newark there is one on Thornton Ave on the way to 880. Also on Newark blvd by Wells Fargo near 84 onramp.
