The annual Duel At De Anza Auto-X is this Sunday
DeAnza College in Cupertino all day long

If you've never seen an Auto-X before, this is a really fun one to watch

^ Would love to go, but I'll be coming back from socal that day.
Got my car all set up for auto-x now, new tires + alignment + brake bleed + re-adjusted suspension. Hope to make it out in June or July.

Beat me to the post, Im going (again) and the wife and I will be driving the WRX wagon for the first time in a autoX.
The driver in the Miata, bought my M3 from him. Got at ride in that car...FAST!
Vic Sais, haha what a joke. His wife gets better times then him and Ive seen him almost hit corner workers, not impressed.

It's by invite only to drive @ the Duel now.
It used to be open to the public, but as it got more popular became a logistics nightmare.
But still - go watch, its really a great event

I just don't understand why this is so popular? I thought about signing up, but decided not to. I was hoping to go up to Mather to race but it won't work out for me. I'd rather be autoxing than putting on a show...

It's just a fun thing to do and helps the school.
I know the Duel was my fist exposure to Autocross, and is really what helped lead me into Motorsports in general.
There are lots of people who go plenty fast at that event... and a few guys who show up in late 70's sedan-boats that are fun to watch as well.
The whole event is a fundraiser for the Auto-Tech program at De Anza, which is pretty hardcore and has produced a lot of the good mechanics in the area.
