Drove a Hemi Magnum!
bleh....
I mean it didn't suck...just expecting so much more...I guess TV lied to me
. I mean there's plenty of get up 'n go, but it still feels like a boat. And the rear end is ugly as hell in person.
well, it looks like either the Legacy Wagon or the Outback for the g/f then. Haven't driven the Legacy yet...so it could underwhelm us too...
Damn, it's hard to drive big cars after driving a fairly small nimble one for a while.

Armada is a pig ompared to the magnum. The armada is 5168lbs with 305hp and 385lb-ft, The Magnum is 4179lbs with 340hp and 390lb-ft. 1000lbs with more TQ and HP makes a difference.
I do agree the magnum is a bit of a disappointment. It goes straight really well, but it still feels like it's heavier than it is, and the interior is HORRID. The seats felt like bench seats not the contoured buckets they were supposed to be which was really odd because they look like they'd be supportive but they suck, the dash is horrific, and the freaking windows are too small. You like like a midget driving a toy car when you sit in it(same with the chrysler 300). It was fun torque breaking it up then launching the AWD one, that much torque is pretty fun, especially watching the salesman crap himself lol.

Yeah the rubbermaid interior of the magnum/300 is dissapointing when they spent so much time designing the damn things. They also lag alot on the launch. You throttle down, car sits there for a sec, and Bam, you're pressed back into the seat. Guess you have to get used to that.

That said, I had a rental 300 a few weeks back. Obviously, I'm a fan of GOOD big American cars (see my Forum ID
). The 300 absolutely SUCKED. Besides being so slow it was dangerous (2.7L V6), it handled like crap and the interior was.....well, "Rubbermaid" is a good way to describe it
.Funny thing though, I had rented it because I went to the Southern Super Heavy Shootout in Atlanta (Drag Races for BIG cars, minimum weight = 3800 lbs) put on by one of the Impala SS clubs. Rented a 300 (tried to get a 300C, but they were out of them) to, ummm, well, as they say, a pic is worth a thousand words......Click the link
Yep, ran a mid 18 in the 1/4 mile with that small V6!
Best pic of the event I took is HERE....BOTH cars in that pic ran 10 second passes on that launch!
