np.

1) remove intercooler.
2) remove heat shield
3) unbolt bottom of downpipe
4) unbolt top of downpipe
5) replace gasket with new one
6) reverse order!

Downpipe is pretty easy, probably an hour if you have right tools (re:flex-head wrench and jack stands)

I don't see anything on their site that says needs a special gasket. I'm sure they'd have sent it if it did. You can get one in town from just about anyone, Subydude, MPJ, Vishnu, etc. Dealership should have them too, but I don't know.

sure, i just did an uppipe gasket:

1) Buy gasket
2) Drive to I-Speed
3) Ask Bill or Chris to install gasket

Done!

Seriously, mine was making the chirping noise and it was (and usually is) just the bottom gasket. It's not hard to replace.... if you have an O2 sensor remover (and I didnt).

you don't need to remove the intercooler.

there are about 10 bolts for the heatshield. some are in very odd angles. soak everything in wd-40 before. if you plan on putting the heatshield back on, you will need to trim it. i'd use new gaskets.

You dont need to remove the intercooler, true. But there are only so many swear words in the dictionary.

Yes, I forgot to tell you you'll need to trim the heat shield, pick up a pair of tin snips. I had to do mine with a rubber mallet - not fun. Ok, kinda fun.
