Dont Watch Cloverfield
While i can understand people getting a little sick if they're prone to that sort of thing...like motion sickness. But in my opinion it was genius...it put you right in the middle of the action, as close to a personal viewpoint one can get in the movies. And i can also appreciate the amount of work that went in to the compositing what went into it to make the effects look that good with that much camera movement.
There will, it seems, be a sequel of some kind.

haha dont be sorry for me. i never get motion sickness on boats, the plane, the car, or rocketship. but one part i left out was that i sat relatively close to the screen cause i got there late. Its the fact that it was hella shaky, and like 75% of the time it was completely zoomed in and he kept sweeping the camera around.
I just suggest if you're trying to choose between Cloverfield or another movie, go for the other one.

and i dunno.. i think this movie is one that you need to see.. just to say you have.. the hype was way too much to not see it.
^^the only thing that pissed me off was how soooo many bombs, rockets, missles, bullets etc etc could not harm an organic being.. being carbon based that thing should have burned alive.
also, when they pulled beth off the rebar there is absolutely NO way she would have been able to hug, move, run like she did, but thats just whatever.. thats hollywood... but seriously the beast should not have been able to take hits like it did..
although one thing i loved.. and i doubt anyone can deny this from being ****ing awesome... when the monster jumped out from the smoke and hit the helicopter.. the feeling of the copter spinning felt so damn real.. like that must be exactly what it is like to go spinning out of control in a chopper.. and when the monster bit the camera guy and flung him around.. that was pretty intense being in that perspective.. which is why i liked that first person camera footage.

i liked it for the action and the story was okay, but hated it for the lack of closure and explanation... also the hand cam got me really dizzy at the very beginning, that went away when the guns started to go off.
hope so, i hate stories that end on an empty note..or stories with no real ending.
...like war of the worlds... everything was awesome, great FX, great story.... but wtf was up with the ending? did they run out of money and had to end it with a voice over? in all my english classes, they always say to cover all bases and never have ambiguity in your wrighting... it could be the crappiest movie ever, i don't give a flying fu*k, but if you don't cover all bases and give a reasonable ending, your story is useless.

for war of the world? i think thats a done story.... haha i can see addons for clover field tho... like a proper movie with rolling dollies and crane shots about how the monster arived, what it does, what happens when u get bitten and the oil rig and the japanese company and SHUSHO.

and then
. I enjoy non-traditional shooting styles. Might be why I loved the Bourne Ultimatium
