I must admit the film the film was pretty decent......BUT, **** whats up with the handy cam. I felt sick as **** about half way through... and at one point i tried not looking at the screen for a few minutes to stop my self from feeling dizzy. Im all for new cinema and ****, but that was too much. I guess it ones good way of drawing attention to your movie!

I watched it last night with the gf. Wasted money IMO.

We didn't get nausous, but were kinda like "that's it" at the end. If I would have known the whole movie was shot by an idiot holding the blair witch camera, I wouldn't have seen it.

Just for that suck *** movie, I'm off to movieforumz

While i can understand people getting a little sick if they're prone to that sort of thing...like motion sickness. But in my opinion it was genius...it put you right in the middle of the action, as close to a personal viewpoint one can get in the movies. And i can also appreciate the amount of work that went in to the compositing what went into it to make the effects look that good with that much camera movement.

There will, it seems, be a sequel of some kind.

i dunno why you guys hated the movie so much.. i don't think anything about it was terrible.. it wasn't the best.. but it certainly was not terrible..

and as for the "holding the camera" thing.. i thought it was great.. sure a bit more shaky than it needed to be.. but if the cameras were traditional movie style do you think it would have been nearly as suspenseful? no way.. it made it like you were there by having the camera in his hands.

If you sat far away, you wouldn't get sick.

haha dont be sorry for me. i never get motion sickness on boats, the plane, the car, or rocketship. but one part i left out was that i sat relatively close to the screen cause i got there late. Its the fact that it was hella shaky, and like 75% of the time it was completely zoomed in and he kept sweeping the camera around.

I just suggest if you're trying to choose between Cloverfield or another movie, go for the other one.
