whats really sad is they use american cars...have you guys ever driven a crown vic/impala/any big american car? They are so scary and give the driver 0 confidence...who wants to drift with a foot of suspension travel and huge tires?
I would much rather PIT a suspect in a nice tight Japanese vehicle, i would never as much as jerk the wheel in a crown vic over 50mph lol.
I would consider being a CHP if they had better and or different cars
But i guess they need to be off road capable for a lot of CA
How do they decide who gets the Camaro's? and they have Corvettes too right?

Yeah really...i drove my GF's parents Malibu over 17...i thought i was gonna scrape the K rail multiple times! in my RS i get 6 inches from it and dont think twice. Parking is a B in those cars too...Trucks are easier to park!
Whats ALCO? cool course though

They are not the best for a everyday office. Remember... Those duty belts and vests make it a ***** to get out of those every 5 min. The older CV are the best... The seats are worn in..

Those are just the instructors showing off for graduation. If you don't really turn a training vehicle into a soda can during training, you pass.
There's been almost a handful of CHP's that wrecked in the past couple months, and then there was the officer in Richmond who wrapped his around a light pole after it had been raining. Yeah, the one that they did a 300 vehicle convoy in memorium to last year, snarled up traffic all over Co Co County and into Vallejo.
Don't run from the new Dodge Chargers or the existing Camaros in the fleet for sure!
