Do you have spyware on your computer? If you get pop ups from sites that normally don't have them, you'd better clean that sucker out with Adaware and whatever programs that seeks and deletes spyware. I'm on a Mac using Firefox and I have no pop-ups (or spyware since, thankfully, no one bothers bugging us Mac people).

The best part is I use it on Linux and Win2k and use all the same plugins and extensions and configuration. Imagine that, the same exact browser settings between two of the most opposing OSes.
