Does anyone own a vacuum sealer?

I'm looking to buy a vacuum sealer for various reasons, but I do not know much about them. I looked on amazon for a while and there are several brands and various prices. I want to spend as little as possible for something that works well enough for small items.

Anyone?

Do you need to pull vac on food items or other stuff? Do you have a vacuum "pull" goal? need a lil bit more info but you can prolly get a hand pump/vac to do what you want for the cheapest.

I have one, the Foodsaver. I bought it like 10 years ago and just like you for various reasons. Great for the intended use of vacuum sealing food and actually works very well for marinating food too.

As for transporting or keeping oregano discreet, works very well.

I dont want to know why you want one...

But, the one sears has is good, if you are going to do BULK stuff, you need to pick up a industrial unit at a kitchen supply store.

I have a smaller one from sears I use to pack bearings with (you load grease in, put the bearing in, then seal it up) and I do other automotive items for camping/4x4ing. Also makes a great way to seal up mag's for the guns, and loose rounds for packing up in the backpack for hikes and such.

I have been hearing that the foodsaver products have gone down hill in quality compared to the ones from 10 years ago but I haven't found a good alternative yet. I'm not tring to spend too sspend much more than $100 on one.
