when i took the tint off of my front windows, i tried the steamer method and it didn't work out too well for me.
a better method (which i used) is to go drive around and heat up your engine and then leave the engine running and turn your heat on full blast and allow your car to heat up (it softens the tint adhesive). let it run for at least 20-30 minutes once your car gets hot inside then partially roll down one of the windows and pick at the tint and see if it starts to peel off. the longer you let the heat blast, the easier it will be to peel off the tint and the less adhesive there will be stuck to the window. once you're done pulling off the tint, take a razor blade and some ammonia based windex and spray the window down. take the razor and scrape off the rest of the adhesive. this can be time consuming if you have a lot of adhesive remaining on the window, which is why I recommend running the heat for about 20-30 min. good luck!

I've got an industrial heat gun, one thing I found that's awesome for tint is a razor scraper, they make angled ones or straight ones, the angled ones are better. http://www.google.com/products/catal...CAcQ8wIwADgA#p
