Question Do you have 17" or 18" wheels?

If so,... Why did you chose that? Do you have any problems with it? the good and the bad.

Where is the "I'm poor as hell and still have the stockers on 3 years after I bought the car" choice?

I wanted 18's but I am in SF a lot, so I need the sidewall. I chose 17" Silver Prodrive P1's w/ 225/45-ZR17 Yokohama AVS ES-100's. It's great, next time I will choose lighter wheels but the difference between stock size/tires is night/day.

I've had both 18s and 17s. While 18s do complement the WRX nicely with a body kit of some sort, with a decent drop, 17s are lighter and look much better I think, that's why I've been running 17s ever since.

picking up AWD 20Ts STI wheels today. I went with them because they look oem and are relatively cheap. If Money wasn't an issue, I think i would be sporting 16X8 Advan RCs or TE37s. I like having a good deal of sidewall, as does the GF.

You can't get sidewalls with 18s?

17" ssr's b/c i've heard about 18s bending. i wanted a higher profile tire as a safeguard. otherwise, i think 18s look better and aren't that much heavier if we're talking about ssr competitions.

...which was why i sold my rota sz's shortly after i bought them...i couldn't live with the extra unsprung weight. running on 17" ssr's feels almost like running on the 16" stockers.

call it knit-picking, but i CAN discern....

17'' because in some areas with that size wheel and my suspension get pretty rough and 18's would be way too harsh.
