Do they realize we are laughing at them? (ricers)
Do "ricers" realize we are laughing at them when we see their fart cannon mufflers, huge wings, two different wheels and stickers? Do they understand that their rides are ridiculed by thousands of people every day in person, by word of mouth, and on the internet?
Why don't these cars debadge and de-rice and save the money on something useful, like disc brakes?

I think they notice whenever I point directly at them and make either the most disgusted face I can or start busting up laughing. I had this one kid in an integra get HELLA heated after I was lol'ing at his car for a while and just harassing him trying to get him to race me and then I finnally pulled up next to him and verbally harassed the *** and **** and then he hella tried hard but I walked the automatic "Type-R" pretty hard.

lol good story...I saw a tangerine orange civic on El Camino last year and just LAUGHED at him right in his face and he was kinda chuckling too...I wasn't sure what he was thinking. This thing had "the whaletail" spoiler and you know which one I am talking about, and all kinds of nasty "supa fast" stickers and body kits and just ugly stuff. gawd that thing was nasty
there are tons of people at SFSU who have whaletail spoilers on their cars. i just gotta ask, WHY?! just because it's in Need for speed underground doesn't mean it belongs on your car.

They don't realize we look @ their cars in disgust or as a complete joke. In their eyes, they think most people are jockin when they're soooo not hahahha. That's what makes it so damn funny. But without all those ****ty *** rides, ours wouldn't look as good. So let them do all that ****. It's a good source of comedy.

I never understood this either. I for one do no know if any ricer acknowledges that they are the focus of a laughing matter. I know it has to do with some sort of finanial and time management problems. For example some do their own "prep" work before they take their vechicle in to a paint and body shop like macco. This is what i dont understand. Either we are spotting their vehicles during the initial trip to the body shop to get a paint job. Therefore we see their car with an unpainted body kit on it. Ranging from many colors such as yellow, grey, and the occasional off-white. So there are that many cars out there getting body kits? Or is it that they just drive around with an unpainted body kit? That question for me has never been anwered. Also their wheel composition. Why do they only have 2? Do some wheel shops sell wheels by the pair? Or do the locate another fellow ricer and agree on a deal to split the cost of a full set of wheels? Economical yes, but the hard part to grasp here is why are the after market wheels placed on the axles where there is no power distributed? Also they remove their hub caps so that the steel portion of the wheel is exposed. Is this a free brake cooling upgrade? Also i have not had the chance to check what grade of tires they run on those steel wheels. Are they R compound tires or after market H rated street tires. I lack the knowing of these issues because i dont know any ricers personally. Has anyone ever tried consulting these people online such as an emailing system or public forum? If anyone can fill me in on this please i want to understand

does it really matter? who cares if someone laughs at you? Chance of you seeing them again are slim. So what if they have a fart can or different wheels. To each of their own. Who are we to judge what is "rice" and what is not. This whole "ricer" term is out of hand, and reached the point of anything someone hates so they call them a ricer. We're the ones that bought cars that look like Neons.... Grow up....
