dude I get the shaft. I usually see these ****** and one not so nice female around and they NEVER wave back. A couple of times I've had them speed up and cut me off or just take off... I'm always confused? You know..it's like...I do drive a WRX man..you think I'm stupid enough to race an STi in my wagon?
so yeah... I guess the fremont and SF drivers don't like wagon owners. Seems like the nods and waves I get are from other wagons, RSs and fellow i-clubers. Got to get me a wagon clique shirt and make a sticker or something cause that's all the love I get..haaa.

doughboy...dead on man.
I have to admit that I am a new generation subaru guy. I always knew they ripped in the snow and if I lived in the mountains I'd probably own one. But then came time to replace my car and after much research I came to audi then randomly to subaru. My coworker bought one and I started looking into them more. She had me meet this dude Kevin (wrexr) at UCKK. I came in my civic. And not one damn person said a word about it. They just talked to me. Answer all my questions. Kevin was insanely informative and nice. Everyone was great. So I went and test drove a wagon...I bought one like 2 weeks later.
You could say I knew about this club and the community BEFORE I bought the car. It was part of the reason I bought it. So now I pass on the love to anyone that asks.

we just need more old skoo guys to buy STi's so that they can spread this subaru love to some of the hapless STi peeps.

haha I always wave back to any Subaru Impreza model. If you look my way, I'll respond back with a wave or a thumbs up. Now if you think I'm a crazy *** lunatic being a distraction for you on the road by my hand signals, well, you suck then.

I wave to WRX's and no i don't look down on them. In fact my son has a 2002 and that is what turned me on to Subaru. I have been on drives with a combination of WRX's and STI's and I don't think anyone in the drive thought of them as two different groups of cars. On the other hand guys, don't look down on other cars either. I drove to work today in a Neon and have seen them slammed on this website. A Neon is not a WRX but it is not supposed to be, and I am the same guy no matter if I am driving the Neon or the STI.

I hope most STi owners do not think that they are "better than you" attitude just because they paid more for their cars. Ok, I'll stop ranting now. Peace all.

I'm in Stockton too. I've seen that STi parked before, but never got a look at the driver. You're right, there aren't many STis in Stockton (not too many WRXs either, for that matter). We need to start spreading some Subie love.
I have a white 2-door RS, and the only time I ever got a reaction out of any other Subie owner was when I was walking out to my car and another identical white 2-door RS drove right past me. I didn't get a good look at the driver (didn't have my glasses on, heh), but i could tell that they were just as surprised as I was. We both did a triple-take, but no other kind of greeting.
I'll keep my eyes open for you other guys.
