Red face Do the the heads from an 05 Legacy GT the same from STi?

Was told that the 05 outback xt and legacy gt (turbo) Heads might be a direct replacement for an sti motor? Anyone know if this might work?

IIRC, yes. You need some other parts as well tho. Not plug and play.

Better left to a shop for that answer, I just remember reading it in passing and can't seem to find the info again.

As long as they are b25 heads. The early ej255 in the leggy outback and forester were ej257 with b25 heads branded as a ej255. I believe in 06 they swapped to the d25 heads.

Correct!

The 05 heads will bolt right on, I don't recall if the cam grind differs or not but everything bolts up and plugs in on the 05 heads.
