Do cops really buy the "license plate on the dash" gimmick?

I'm guessing they don't, but most people just haven't been caught.

Any experiences with front license plates on the dash and COPS? (you high air flow people, haha)

Something about it just makes me feel like it's too rice.

(BTW, I just mount it on the front like you're supposed to)

I put my front license plate in the trunk. If I get hit or something, the license plate just becomes another projectile in the car.

I debated putting it on the dash but many people made this same point.

Just get over it an put it on the damn car. If you want your car to look all pretty for pictures, then take it off for pictures. But when you're driving you're not at a damn photoshoot so no one really cares that you have a front plate and it "ruins the looks of the car"

Subies are ugly anyways

I used to have my front plate on my old Integra's dash 10 years ago, but I believe it was still illegal. They would write you a ticket for that.

I have angled JDM front plate holder now.

I'd rather have my plate on the front than on the dash. Putting it on the dash just makes it look even worse.

+1 to that....you really only want it off when youre taking photos. i dont think its worth getting pulled over just for no front plate

I had my license plate on my dash for about 3-4 months, only because my first bumper (aftermarket) since I got the car didn't have any good mounting areas on the mesh..... Now 2 stock bumpers later, its on where it should be. I think it looks better with the plate.

I as well use both plates, less hassle from cops.

If the plate cannot be read by a plate scanner, than you are fair game.
