Do CF hoods bring too much rice/attention?
All up to you, this whole idea of "rice" this and that has gotten out of hand. If you like your car a certain way, then do it. Other people will consider anything rice if they don't like a mod. Its your damn car, its your damn money. You can have fun with it, don't let i-club opinions bog you down. I use the board and actually USE it when I'm considering certain mods or places to take my car for work. I don't actually listen to all the opinions on here (and there are plenty).
There will be someone who will always call anything rice, and there are others who wont. Just as in anything else.

Like everyone said, it's up to you since it's your car. There will always be haters out there so just ignore their comments. I personally would'nt mind getting one, esp if I had a black car.
As for attention from the cops, it depends on where you live- I guess. A carbon hood could draw their attention if they're really looking for modified cars, or they could care less. I hear a lot of people saying they get pulled over in the bay for modified exhausts by chp and local cops, but I haven't had a problem yet with mine. I'm kinda worried about my catless dp I just installed though... *knock on wood

I think they are way too rice, but even if they werent put on so many tuners out there they would still be ugly IMO. I just dont think a black (or near black) hood or trunk standing out so badly looks good..

I kinda regret getting one myself. I have gotten unwanted attention by Hondas, like being revved at and tailgated, but it's all good.

technically it is rice...since aluminum is lighter and less flashy. But i like the look of them too, in a perfect world...
i would also like drifting and MMA in a perfect world, but most the fans ruin it
in this case, blame it on Takumi

depends on the color of your car...... i drive a white car so the carbon stands out ALOT and i have been pulled over twice since i put it on and it doesnt help that i have a fairly loud exhaust. iam getting ready to spray it, prolley will leave a small amount of carbon showing though

totally, they look sick on black. I actually like black parts on white, but its a recipe for AE86...which is the only car that should be allowed to look like that haha

I'd hafta do the whole package, CF Hood & trunk, black paint the roofies (if the car isnt already black), and headlights too.
Not like I'm a stickler for looks or anything =p

You, sir, deserve a donut.
Both sports were much cooler back in '98; if only it were still like that now

To the OP: do what you want, when you want. It's not like a CF hood has the potential to adversely affect your car's performance. Knock yourself out!

Carbon is cool for the first couple of years, then it fades to yellow. chips. and worst of all, it starts warping so you can't paint it.
Not worth the trouble. Just get an aluminum hood.

That's only if you buy cheap carbon.... Real JDM carbon hoods don't fade to yellow...
