do all imprezas use the same oil filter?

i have a wrx, wondering if a rs or any other "impreza" oil filter works the same.

cause i bought a oil filter from the dealership, and its a different filter from the ones im used to, its a genuine subaru part, im used to the purolator ones. are the genuine ones better or the purolator?

yea they all are extremely similar. The thread for the filter are all the same size and such.

I think the capacity varies slightly but that's about all.

The STi, Forester XT, and the Baja turbo all have a different filter. There is also a different filter for the H6. All N/A 4 cylinder filters are the same though, afaik.
