i think this is very interesting. i dont think it would work great on 4 door cars. but for coupe i think it really helps.

that's a better way to go. like a van door.
the other one has way to many parts to fail. What happens when you crash. Want to lower your car (it clearly would effect ground clearance). Or park on unlevel areas.
the slide in type could possibly work as you could just push and pull.
but still...what if it gets bent or falls of the rails.
There's a reason doors are still made pretty much the way they were 100 years ago.
but hell...if someone has the dough and time to figure it out...more power to them.
I just don't like all this car driving for me crap.

Since when was removing the B-Pillar good for safety or structural rigidity? I'm sure these doors will definitely increase unsprung weight as well. It's also easier to exit the rear seats from a traditional 4 door than from the Lincolns that were displayed in the video. There's a reason why doors are still placed on hinges.
