First of all, thank you!
Second, I only attributed emotions to OP's reaction and suggested retaliation. I think that any public servant, not just cops, should be held accountable to a high degree. Equal and opposite comment was supposed to be a metaphor with all things considered equally and appropriately.
There is a difference between cops drawing on a peaceful protest (not cool)...and showing force against mob of idiots rioting, looting, acting a fool, causing civic unrest, etc etc etc (by all means).
I was taught not to point a weapon at anything I don't intend to destroy, so it does bother me that the cop had it shouldered and pointed at the crowd. But I also have no idea why he chose to do that...did he just lose his cool or a group of people did something stupendously egregious? That's why I want to see the whole footage.

Yeah hey never mind the 5 officers and 1 K9 that have been killed in the last 12 days, that didnt make the news.
Real easy to call them dirty pigs when youre not the one doing the job.
For all the cop haters out there, especially the ones that say they should be and are held to a higher standard, and they get paid good money to do thier job let me ask you this question.'
When you go to work do you have a fear that if you make a mistake in your job not only do you risk loosing your job for making a mistake, but being sued civilly for potentially millions of dollars.

You made a very specific statement:
6 LEO casualties in the last 12 days. That statistic shocked me, so I decided to fact check. Unless my math is wrong, I see 3 listed officer deaths in that time period. Am I wrong? I really may be missing something.
dialogue should start from a point of objective truth, then move to the subjective value assessment. That is all. Don't want to make light of a serious mater, or rustle Jimmie's, but I have many strong opinions on law enforcement.

Welcome to the real world, where there should be repercussions for failing to do your job, whether in the private or public sector. Arguing leniency for police brutality/abuse of power due to their constant exposure to human indecencies means LEO's get worse (and not better) at their jobs the longer they work.

I cannot exactly substantiate this statement either as my intel is coming from a guy on the street there in Furgeson but The area where the video is being filmed looks ALOT ALOT like the area where on the same date the officers were "under fire" litterally by civilians who were firing random shots.(of course there is no way to tell if the officers are being fired at directly either) I will try to find the video on youtube.
If I find the video what you will see is the SWAT officers shuffling the media people to a safer location.

Reality...
...here's a little dose of reality for you.
Unarmed civilians get shot and killed by cops. That being said, does anyone care to research what percentage of them are criminals? How many have criminal records? How many of them are either committing a crime, or have just completed committing a crime? Now, let's do a little more research. How many of them are Joe Toughs who talk about how, when confronted, they'll kick the cops' in the head and leave them for dead? How many are respectful, mostly law-abiding citizens?

I just used some of my good karma points last night. I was driving (below the speed limit) when a pair of cars came flying out of nowhere. Tailgating me, they made me uncomfortable, then I sped up and took a side road to leave them. Just as I started to pull away (much more cornering than sheer speed), the red and blue lights came on...game over. I stopped immediately, put my hands on top of the steering wheel, and was pleasant and respectful to the officer. I announced that I was unbuckling my seatbelt, announced I was reaching (slowly) into my right front pants pocket to retrieve my wallet and license, and generally put him at ease that I wasn't going to attack him.
He ran me for wants/warrants, handed me my current license, registration and insurance card back, and smiled when he told me to slow down. From there on, I played a no-brake game with them as they followed me nearly all the way to work.
No ticket.
YMMV

Florida Man Records Himself Getting Attacked by Cop for not Rolling Down Window all the way

A horrifying video has emerged showing St. Petersburg police forcing a man out of his car before pouncing on him, leaving him hospitalized with several injuries, all because the cop claims he was in fear for his life.
At least that what he says in his report, where he wrote the following:
"I exited my marked patrol cruiser and walked towards the vehicle and I noticed the driver staring at me with a blank stare as he continued revving the engine louder and louder. I thought by his actions the subject was going to attempt to hit me with his car."
The video, however, shows it was Curtis Shannon, a young man from Florida who should have been in fear for his life during the arrest.
It also shows that he remained professional as he tried to hand the cop his license and registration through a small opening after the cop pulled him over for what he claimed was erratic driving.
But if anything was erratic, it the was behavior of the cop, which unfortunately, Shannon refuses to identify out of what he says is "respect."
The cop deserves no respect because he was downright criminal. A thug with a badge. A proud member of the Blue Mafia.
