I have a 06 CRF250X with a few Thousand in upgrades. I got it for trail riding not track. I've been to Metcalf, Hollister, Clear Creek, Pismo, Glamis, and the Sierra's off of highway 4. I got it in Oct of 06. It's my first bike. I'll post up some pics in a bit. I plan on hitting Metcalf on Thursday afternoons as soon as next week.

Cool, i go to Metcalf all the time, im usually riding the trials area or the tight singletrack.

Im on a KTM 300 (see pic) and i usually wear an old school MSR early 90's jersey.

My favorite trail would probably be the Horseshoe single track behind the oak tree hillclimb.

Snake, and the 2 left fingers are fun too, i like doing the slow technical stuff.

I ride or usually meet up with a guy named Todd and Xavier (injured) and random all the trials guys i bump into, mostly in their 30's, and i just met a cool kid who is my age 21 or so. All the trials guys except the kid and his dad on the yellow bike, he's a jerk and wont say one word to me when i introduced myself. I think he was raised in a mute amish town or something. But all other trials guys are super nice.

My Dad rides the same bike, so if you ever see us, ask for Kyle!

Damn thats a sick bike! i thought that was a hillclimb tire at first haha.

Ive actually never ridden the Sierras or Clear Creek. My Dad and i usually just ride Hollister or Metcalf. I bet you can direct me to a cool sierra place with boulders and flowy singletrack.

Yep I know a place or two up there. Mostly rock trails so far. I plan on doing a bunch of trips up there this summer to find some other trails.

The top pic was just before Glamis and the bottom pic was last July up in the Sierra's.

cool. I know a guy who races Baja, or rides the course at least. He has a fully baja'd XR 650. We always go to Hollister for Thanksgiving Weekend 3 or 4 days. so keep that in mind.

And i'll keep an eye out for you at Metcalf, i like going on Thursdays too.

Any of you guys on Thumpertalk.com?

Hey Kyle, do you have any free weekdays? My dad and I were thinking of going to Hollister and it would be sweet to ride with some people that know the trails...

yeah I am free Mondays and Thursdays, and Sundays. You like singletrack? im guessing since you MtnBike.

I know some pretty tough trails, nothing you cant get thru paddling your feet, but keeping them on is challenging. Its hard to find the singletrack in Hollister, i only found most of it 3 years ago and have been riding there the past 15 years.

I'm not really sure my level, so I can't say if I am ready for those kind of trails yet. Are they up/down steep hills, or flat through trees? This is my first full size bike and it's a bit big for me, so I'm still trying to get comfortable on it.. haha

It's funny how I would totally huck down some of the trails and hills on my mountain bike, but I am scared **** less and white knuckle down on the dirt bike. Maybe because you are higher off the ground, you think you are going faster, and the vehicle is heavier. I think I am going to actually bring my downhill bike next time I go to Carnegie and have my dad tow me up some of the hills then I will bomb down haha

Clear Creek is absolutely awesome, would you agree? Definitely worth the drive out there for a nice long weekend trip.
Do you go through the front side, or from the back side, through New Idria (the ghost town, mining camp)?

I think you are the first other than myself that has been out to Clear Creek.
