the new update that allows you to send and receive multimedia messages is cool and all, but does anyone notice how much slower the iphone is now? anyone notice that calls made result in call failures? i cant call out without it disconnecting 17 times. the same crap is happening to my bros phone too. i wonder if i got texts that arent being received. is this happening to you? WTF?

i have the iphone 3gs, and im supposed to be able to have picture messaging capability, but when i updated it, nothing happened! I have unlimited text and data, but the phone still has the same options for pictures-email, set as wallpaper, etc...no picture message option...WTF? Any ideas?

Go to send a text and there should be a camera icon to the left of where you'd type a message.

^ I assume you restarted the phone, I had to restart mine a couple of times to get the mms to work...

But now it works great and I havent had any problems

 

Huh. Did you go back AFTER the 3.1 update and update the firmware? AT&T sent a text AFTER the fact that messaging was available and that you'd need to reconnect and reupdate.

 

Once you download the carrier update you need to turn off the phone and turn it back on.
