desperate stevens creek subaru...
so i was on my lunch break and a friend and i were driving on winchester and we pull up right behind a silver 04-05 wrx about to turn onto stevens creek when i noticed him open his door and motion for me to open my window. i thought he was just a cool suby driver saying whats up but it turns out he was a stevens creek guy who says " hey wanna trade your car in for an sti? i work at stevens creek, i just sold this car and if you want i can get you an sti! just follow me into stevens creek subaru and ill cut you a nice deal!" i humbled the guy and said cool man maybe later im on my lunch break right now. haha just thought it was kind of funny, wouldve probably been funnier if i came back from my lunch break with an sti...but then again it is stevens creek.

I have a hard time giving a dealer hell for trying to sell a car. Sure, it was unsolicited. But you were driving a Subaru and he was selling Subarus.
From his perspective:
Worst case -- The customer belittles you on the internet.
Best case -- Big sale of one of the most expensive cars Subaru makes.
I know you guys don't really mean any harm. I'm just trying to tell you my perspective.

I would have said sure, you give me invoice and we can talk. No BS advertising fees, no MSRP, no markup, no BS. His eyes would have rolled back into his head, and his head would have spun around while he spewed green muck.

its actually a great dealership if you don't own an impreza.
i'm sure they treat the customers who arent from the message boards great and i'm sure they sell a lot of cars, obviously to people who don't read the boards.
How else would they still be in business and afford to remodel their building?
