defi egt installation

i was wondering if anyone did this themselves? and is willing to give me a helping hand? or possibly even some tips?

I hear you must put a hole in your header.. wow.. scary haha

just take out the exhasut manifold and drill a hole on the one that connects to the 3rd cylinder and weld it on and clean out the shavings and reinstall.

Gotta tap a hole in the header NOT the downpipe like some people think...

Most downpipes have a fitting but thats for A/F ratio sensors not EGT...thats the first mistake dumbs dumbs make

How do you weld steel to cast iron and have it stay?

I need to tap my EGT as well but am thinking I am just going to go straight in to the iron.

Be carefull just drilling into the header while it's on the car. If you get a sizeable shaving or metal frag in there it will kill your turbo. Save yourself a few hours and just take it to one of the awesome shops we have around here...so many good places to take it lol.
