Just got a 2011, and can't bring myself to sell the bugeye.

Edit: back to the OP, I've had no issue with BT and my android phone. I install BT systems for a living, and yeah the iphone has by and large the most problems working with many different bluetooth systems.

At least your engine hasn't blown up due to spun bearings like on many '09 FXTs. I personally know someone who's engine let go and was replaced for free under warranty.

5 years ago loving subaru like no other, now= NO plans of buying another subaru until they dull out a non ordinary one. Not happy with their changes.
^My exact thoughts-i've been saying this all along, how Subaru has changed for the worse imho. Just look on iwsti & all you see in the GR section is nothing but a variety of problems. On such new cars, especially the 11 WRX/STi models too-like WTF, can't be no ****ing coincidence, it's just that the quality control ain't there like before. And how their factory tune for their boxer motor all of a sudden turns real ****ty from 07-on is a complete mindbogling mystery, which makes me sooo glad i have an 06 STi. Let's stop fooling ourselves from the truth & accept that Subie just ain't the same anymore-from visual appeal to lagging engine power when compared to the rest of the evolving performance brands to all the problems (small to large, i've read them all). Subaru is definitely going down a road i'm not going to travel, unless they wake up and change back to their old ways. It's like they forget what the STi was freaking built for-RALLY, not the general public. I personally can't stand the wagon, if it was a true light, 2 door, powerful hatchback then i'd be a fan! If i wanted a Legacy, then i'd get one. Being stuck near 300 hp/tq is sad when everyone else is upping the ante with more power & better looks, something Subaru just don't get nowadays i guess. They're trying too hard to appeal to the masses, but in the process are losing most of the ol' school diehards (like me). How many new 11 sedans (WRX/STi) have you guys seen? Me, none so far. That shows you how much it's liked now, not very much. Heck, i hardly ever seen any Evo X around either. Goes to show that the older models is where the love's at. The auto world's a changin', so i guess i'll be keeping mine forever, unless drastic changes occur, but i don't see that happening anytime soon with the way this world's evolving. We just might see a hybrid Evo or GTR in the near future-weird oxymoron huh?

Only quality issues I complain about are rattles, squeaks and creaks.

As for the squeaking and such, what Holland said.

Manhands, have you tried removing the stereo all together and seeing if the sounds still happen? Just a simple process of isolating the problem. It could be something wrong with the stereo. In which case you can get the dealer to swap it out for a new one or a problem with the wiring of the speakers. That would be more of a PITA though.

Actually it has been determined that the current 2 pot brakes are actually more efficient than the 4 pot brakes. Both calipers use the same pad size and are both capable of locking up the wheels yet one is lighter and uses less fluid than the other.

As it was mentioned the downfall is the pads themselves but IMO if you are an enthusiast swapping in proper pads is probably one of the simplest things you can do.

My car rattles too. But generally it is fine late spring to early fall. When it gets cold the pieces get small and rattle.

All cars have their problems, it's just the way it is. As much as they try to make every car EXACTLY the same, they can't, it's impossible to do so no car is the same.

Sounds to me that the dealer has screwed you more than anyone, not the car. They are the ones that screwed up the short shifter, they are the ones that screwed your paper work, they are the ones that told you to f' off.

Now as far as the car's problems, doesn't sound like much. Headlight fogging which can be fixed VERY easily (probably a small leak around the seal that you can re-seal), I don't know what a kick board is (Door card?) but I'm sure it was just something that happened to you because someone didn't tighten a bolt enough or something simple.

The iphone thing... Well, I agree that Subaru has and always has had crappy stereo equip. My STi had the WORST speakers in the history of time... OMG, sounded like someone was throwing oranges at my car every time the bass hit. Needless to say, I went to a real stereo shop (Dont go to crappy places like best buy, support a local shop and you will save $100000000, yes, THAT much ). Once I replaced my front speakers (all I had to do) with slight modification to do the inner door card to make them fit, I couldn't be happier. I can listen to iphones, ipods, cds, DVDs and whatever else I want, no thanks to Subaru... I had to do it all myself.

In regards to the brake pads. The Subaru brake pads are pretty weak and they are expensive as hell. Hawk pads are pretty good but make a lot of noise, I'd recommend getting some Endless brand pads, less noise, less dust, and works just as well as HAWK street pads (Endless street perf pads).

Face it, you bought the car because it's an AWD pocket rocket with TURBO, not because of how your iphone sounds in the car. My point is, the car is running great and will continue to run well and that's what's important, not some little stereo interference.

You think your 11 is cheap? You should see the old GC8 Impreza! OMG, that car was built by a friggin CHILD! Everything came apart, its how I learned to work on cars (Putting mine back together all the time, ) Anyone with a GC knows what Im talking about... Not only does it fall apart but it makes more noises then you can even count. There's no use in fixing it because there are so many noises... lol You guys all know what Im talking about! LOL! All the squeaking and ****, lol!

Sad thing is that in 1999-2000 the Impreza 2.5RS had one of the best quality interiors in the entire subaru lineup and you know how incredibly awful it was... I changed everything from Steering wheel to seats because the stock ones were sooooooo cheap, I didn't trust my life in them.

I can't imagine the car that got ranked worse than the Impreza in interior quality?

1) post the ****ing sample in a INDUSTRY STANDARD format not that apple nightmare. that said, the sound you are hearing is a ground loop. It means somewhere under your hood one of your grounds is loose is all.

2) The I-phone has KNOWN issues with bluetooth. Just because you were a stupid ****ing sheep and had to have a icrap, does not make subaru responcible for it. I have had to support that damn pile of crap phone from day one because our CEO is a appletard. I can't even start to tell you the problems it has, and every one of them is an apple problem becauase they fail to use established industry standards.

3)The lights fogged up, a part fell off, yea it happens. My 2001 camry had a whine under the hood from the factory that took them 3 years to figure out how to fix. Big deal, it happens, no car is perfect, and it doesn't mean the whole company has a problem.

4)Subaru is a COMPANY, they are in this for profit, not to make you feel like a special person. Sure they cut a corner or two, welcome to the modern world man. Change the brake pads, tuck your blanket and bottle back in a box and quit whining like a baby for **** sake. You are an adult, act like one, got a problem with the dealer, take them to court over it, like an adult.
