Regarding dim mak: NO it is not "no touch knockouts", and YES it does work, but it's nearly impossible to do in a mutual combat situation.
I've had dim mak done on me by an acupuncturist using his fingers, knuckles, and needles, and it can hurt like hell or make your body do weird, weird things, and it can also aid in pain relief and increase the range of motion in joints and muscles. Of course, I had paid for treatment so I was sitting still so that he could find my pressure points easily (all of which he found in either one or two tries), but I'm positive that if I were using my own martial arts background against him (mainly Muay Thai and judo), he would not have an opportunity to properly apply his pressure point manipulation due to the erratic movements involved in a fight situation (and also having to worry about fists, feet, knees, and elbows aimed at the head, among other things).
P.S. Verc's video is of Yanagyi Ryuken, a man who was once quite famous in Japan until he got whooped by some no-name semi-pro MMA fighter http://www.dbskeptic.com/2008/05/29/...uch-knockouts/

Dim mak vs. someone who actually came out to fight: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gEDaCIDvj6I
just like the crazy preachers of the south, who tell you they can cast demons out of your soul, and heal you of almost any condition. They are scam artists. But hey, a lot of people believe in talking snakes, boats big enough to hold all the worlds animals for 40 days in a great flood, so...
