i know this question has been beaten to death but still need help....

I did a search and all i got was a whole bunch of General info and nothing Specific. So my question is, What tire size is best for 17x7.5 wheels with an offset of 48. These will be going on a WRX sedan and i will be getting some kind of Ultra High Performance tire. The tires will be mainly used for Street driving but maybe if i rack up the courage i will take it to an Auto-X or a Drag but no more than twice probably. So any reccomendations and help will be greatly appreciated. TIA.

I'll back that - 225/45-17 is the size to go with. Some use a 235/40, but it only fits on 8" or larger wheels and doesn't offer as many tire choices. I use the 225s on a wagon and they look and work well.

That's a good fit with either 215/45 or 225/45 size tires.
