Dealership Service Q

This maybe a retarded Q but here goes. If i have a catback exhaust do i need to change it back to stock if I get my STi serviced at the dealership? I have warranties on my car, just dont know how **** they are about CBE and warranties if they will void it. BTW it just maintenence that i need done, no warranty work.

Thanks

Depends on the dealership, Justin down at Capitol Subaru won't care. I don't know about any other dealerships.

If a CBE is the only thing you have on there, I know Capital Subaru would not have an issue with that. If you would like to talk to them about it, their number is 888-727-2919.

If your nervous about taking it in with the catback whats it take to take it off 20 min. not too much of your time.

If the dealer hassles you about a cat-back then there are other things to be worried about.

According to Justin (at Capitol), your warranty is ok if you have mods in it. But in a case that something goes wrong with your car BECAUSE of your modifications, then it could void it. CBE doesn't do anything to hurt the engine, so I wouldn't worry about it
