Even though I own a Mac, I don't care either way. I work in the design field. We mostly use Macs, but I'd never shy away from PC either. I've used PCs a bunch of times on a few gigs. I did spend half of my time in art school owning a PC and did my design stuff with it. Then I bought a Mac because some fonts didn't work (OS 9 ugh) and it cost me a grade in a class or two since they didn't get converted properly with some wacky program..UNTIL OSX was widely used at my school a few months after the fact and the fonts (as well as a lot of other files) were cross platform. I just love OSX to death since then and I didn't feel like buying another PC. I've owned Macs for 6 years now.

If I wanted a PC (and knew more about safe guarding myself from Malware and viruses), I'd either build a desktop or buy a Lenovo Thinkpad (those are real nice). I had a friend who did the Hackintosh mod on a Dell Mini 9 netbook (installing Leopard OSX on it basically).
