Talking De-badged

My bike, that is.

Just de-badged it while I was in Idaho. What do you guys think?

Pro Flex 957 complete with carbon fiber front and rear forks. Weighs about 24 lbs. Awesome for climbing just about any mountain.

Is that a Moton coilover you're running in the rear? LOL.

I know, it's an old bike, but the setup is hard to beat, even in todays standards. I keep thinking that I'll upgrade, but there's no point in shelling out 3-5 grand in a bike that probably won't perform any better. As stated above, this bike is a monster at hill climbing.

Lol nope, that'd be a stock Noleen shock with adjustable ride height and damping. I've already blown one. They're not the best, I shoulda replaced it with a Risse Racing shock.

This post reminds me when my uncle bought a mountain bike from costco and debadged it. Then he went and put on some BMW decals and what not. In the end, the bike looked like it could pass for the real thing. One day while he was biking on those hills by the dumbartion bridge, some guy offered him $5k for the bike but he declined.

Wow, that is old school ! My wife's bike still has a Girvin Flex Stem on it. I wonder if the rubber shims are still flexing ?
