If it would fit you should shoehorn an RB25DET in there... much cheaper than finding a RB26DETT clip and WAY powerful than an SR20DET.

I know its cool to stick with a Japanese motor because its a Japanese car, but think about the cost to build. You can find s/b chevy parts at 7-11. A mildly built (300hp) motor that will last along time with fuel injection is very inexpensive.
I bet you would get more attention/compliments if it were a hybrid.
