Damn food poisoning

Went to a Restaraunt with my pops onfriday for lunch. I ordered a burger med rare. **** came out rare rare.

We know some people that work there and were ordering a bunch of stuff for a feast (my dad doesn't get out much)...so I didn't bother with the burger and just ate half of it.

My gi tract is usually really good at processing bad food...like quickly... Barley made it to his house and...well...he is going to get a bill from ebmud.

Don't think anything of it. Go home. Next day I am exhausted all day beat. Try to sleep most of the day. I feel like crap.

This morning...I wake up, feel like ****, I figure it's due to over sleeping. Turn on f1...I can't really remember watching it.

Go to lay down... Projectile vomiting commences. I've never had a abs work out like this. I had nothing left and was still going at it.

Wife said I was spiking a fever and was all grey and was mumbling nonsense.

Threw me in the car and off to the ER. I don't remember any of this but she said we had about a 15 second weight time because of how I looked.

Couple bags of iv's, lots of anti throw up stuff, x ray and ultra sound because my abs hurt so bad they thought it maybe gall stone, broken ribs or appendicitis.

9 hours of blood tests and throwing up later...it's food poisoning.

**** that **** is worse than the flu...

Been there done that. It freakin sucks.

They gave me 4 times the normal amount of stuff because it wasn't touching me. I looked at the dude and said... I'm gonna puke. He said... that's impossible. Go home and get some rest. I stood up. Walked out the door. Walked to the nurses station and asked where the rest room was... walked in... puked.

They gave me another dose and then some pain meds that made me forget who I was. I literally don't remember the next day. I do know that the puke shifted gears and went south.

Don't do the epicac, it induces it.

OP, care to divulge the establishment's name or location so none of us end up sick?

Also get well soon. It sucks, BTDT, never again.

They gave me zofran. Twice. It barely touched it. Did some other stuff, then some gi cocktail and morphine.

I would have killed someone for a sippy cup of water... But no...

We know the exec chef so I'm going to ***** slap him when I get better. Depending on his response I will let the name out. Accidents happen.

Hint: it's new in Danville ( and no I'm not from there, I could only wish)

Sorry to hear it dude, I have been their and it ain't no fun what so ever. Rest and recoop, its gona have you down for another few days while your body resets. Once it does and your feeling better, eat a few yogurts to reset your lower intestinal biology.

Yogurts a great idea... For tomorrow.

I was going to swing by rbms tomorrow to order the parts for the motor build. But alas, it will probably be Thursday lunch time.

yep can't give any food in the ER unless fully cleared. Esp with abdominal pain. Surprised they gave you morphine though. It does have constipating properties though.

I find most places will tend to under cook meat from your order so they don't serve over cooked so I usually order medium to be safe

Burgers med rare are gross anyways, even with really good meat...it's mushy and soft - it's not like steak or prime rib

Luckily Ive never had food poisoning :knocks on wood:

Damn dude. Again?
I had food poisoning in 8th grade from bad ranch dressing.
was puking and ****ting all night.
Finally stopped enough to catch some sleep after 12 straight hours of vomiting.

Then after I woke up I was good as new. Thank god.
Sucks u still feel like ****. All I took to stop vomiting was two glasses of orange juice and gse. Then 2 big table spoons of colliodial silver water.

Probably took 2 hours for me to feel good again after taking it.

Ahhhh eastern medicine
