^ it was close ... REAL CLOSE.... it was weird though... by slamming on the brakes and not killing the 1st deer, the second deer that was following almost slammed into the side of me ! scared the crap outta me !

Yup, same here, my old prodrive bbk saved quite a few dog and cats lives.

 

My Dad had that happen in his jeep. A deer ran right into the side of him, caved in the little half door and mostly ended up in the passenger seat. Kamikaze deer.

deer are definitely crazy. If I see one on the side I'll stop and do something (honk, rev) to try to scare it off because even if you creep forward, sometimes they'll still dart out!

dude, the turkeys are actually the fun ones! We get whole flocks of them in the road, and even if you rev or honk it might scare one or two off, but then you still have the rest. One time I had a cheap BOV on the car just for laughs (friend got it free with an intercooler) and the revving didn't scare off the turkeys, but when the BOV went off they all scattered

Saw a dead turkey on the road the other day and though "oh, someone caught dinner"
