next time roll over the damn thing. better than trying to save the rabbit and wrapping yourself around a tree in the process.

oh btw a cute little rabbit isnt supposed to be sitting in the middle of the road. ive hit sooo much stuff so i wouldnt crash into the side of the road.

stuff i hit with my jetta: 2 birds, a squirrel, and an owl on a road trip to Santa Barbara

stuff i hit with my soobie: a bird and 2 racoons (AT ONCE!!) when i lived in Tahoe. I saw a racoon so i turned just a bit because I saw it from far away. What I didn't see was his two friends just a bit to the left of him. OOPS!

Hey now.....I want in on that action!

Kyle, kyle, kyle.....dude....I am sorry to see that, but man, little fuzzy bunnies are waaaay over populated.....if you wouldda nailed it, that could be considered population control....and your subi would still be in one piece....however, like you said....time for coilovers now! w00t! But it sucks either way! You gonna make it out to BDG tonight?

-Ted

edit: Stuff I have nailed includes.....1 soft fuzzy bunny, 1 bird, 2 oppossums (sp?) and 1 deer.

about three weeks ago, i dodged a skunk on a nighttime drive up highway9. my rule is that if it can stink up, smash up, or otherwise do damage to your car, then avoid it. dogs (i'd drive arround them regardless), deer, skunks and similar animals fall into this group. however, squirrels, rabbits, and such are too small to hurt anything, and given the choice between hitting them and something else, i'll turn 'em into ground round in a heartbeat.

That's the rule that I was taught to follow. Anything that is below the hood, you grab your steering wheel, hold it straight and take the animal. Glad you didn't swerve into oncoming traffic or something.

Sorry about the car

is this one of those things....I swerved to miss a deer or a small child or something that you tell your insurance company but in all reality you lost it in a corner and slammed a curb?

as for me....I have never hit and killed an animal....well a snake once but I don't know if it died....it look like it made it off the road at the least. I hit a deer...well more accurately it hit me...I managed to skid to a stop on old santa cruz highway as the deers *** slid across my car and it jumped off my fender and up the hill....no nothing...whole freakin family of them things just bolted up the hill..I jumped out with my mag light and everything....
