I bet dale could put the smack down on any one of you bastards in any kind of racing. There's a reason he makes a couple million a year to drive cars.

Being famous I highly doubt you guys would be running around talking to every kid or doing everything right all the time. He was out of his element and probably keeping it low key for the sake of his team mates and the sake of everyone there. He was not there ot try to steal the show and take over everything. He was probably trying to deflect attention to other great drivers..how about that angle.

And as for his team and the other drivers...most of them were stoked that he was bringing extra attention to their very OVERLOOKED circuit. There was a huge article on it actually. Corvette was glad to have him.

Man I'm sorry for being a touchy ***** but I'm just sick and tired of all the **** talking I see around here. Go get into a corvette with twice the horsepower you have... and see how many laps you can make it without wrecking it.

Nobody here was in that car or has any clue what really caused that wreck. Kinda sucks that a guy is trying to improve his skills on road corses and he gets torn up for it.
Hi, I'm Sarcasm! Nice to meet you OneManArmy!

edgar,

edgar,

that makes tons of sense....all kinds of profanity and personal attacks and then say..."don't you see all these kids?" yeah for that guy. Way to set an example. haaaaaa.

Man there are a lot of *** holes that make it famous. And a lot of great people that come off as *** holes at times. You know. You get followed, yelled at, cursed, loved, attacked...everything. You can't be perfect all the time. I just talked to some folks about this because of some of the people we've had as friends that have made it big or kinda big..they all changed. Some got horrible. Some just got more sheltered. Two perfect examples. Lars for Rancid. Turned into an *** hole. Travis from blink 182. just got more sheltered but he's as cool as ever.

Just because these people are famous, doesn't mean they are perfect.

Shoot I know some people would hate me. I'd probably go off on some crazy bastard shuffling through my trash or trying to take pictures of my hot sun tanning wife or some ****. Or come out of McD's with my kid and slip up because I'm getting surrounded by people....you know.

maybe cut the guy....a little slack.

And besides...several drivers said the track was really slick.

I think Little E just got a little excited and got into it to hard before he and his car were warmed up. Sucks for him and for the car owners.

but on all this.....for all I know the guy could be a massive *****.

edgar,

haaaaa. probably. I through a racketball and chris mullin once. I was like 14 and I asked him for his autograph on a great card and he skribbled on it, mumbled and walked away. I never liked the guy after that...except for the time they called some crazy technical on him and he walked off the court with the ball...that was funny. (that day is one of the reasons tim hardaway is my second favorite player ever)

But yeah. I can see how people being dicks can turn you off to them. I just know that we don't always know what's going on.

The reason why we bash him is b/c most of us hate NASCAR. I don't personally hate NASCAR; I watch it a lot, but I DO hate Dale Earnhart, Jr., and it's not right, even though you had the best of intentions to alleviate a bashfest, to to start criticizing the comments of others when you have no idea where their feelings are coming from.

what the hell are you talking about? not right? But it is right to bash someone for an action that you saw but have no clue as to why it happened? Kind of the same thing if you ask me. You're hammering me without knowing where I'm coming from. I hammered them for not knowing where he was coming from. None of us are aware of what was going on with him. All I was saying is that the guy got hurt...to bash on a guy that could have been killed seems wrong to me. I've said it probably 10 times on this site...like when that kid in the bmw burned to death..everyone blasted the driver of that car and jumped on his back without being aware of what was happening in that car when the accident happened or that the dudes family/friends may read the replies. I just think it's wrong.

And I did say that for all I know the guy could be a dick..i was just saying maybe give him the benefit of the doubt...I like being devils advocate. And I do have an idea of where they are coming from. Anyone that has stood in an autograph line or stood outside the fence after a baseball game or anything like that as a kid know what it feels like to get burned like that. Like I said with my experience with mullin. I still don't like that guy and that was 11 or 12 years ago. It effects you as kids. But as adults we should be more aware that people are not perfect and more aware of the game. That there are politics in sports, public relations people, other people telling you waht to do. Other folks to consider. Etc.

But I guess it's ok to bash someone because you hate what they do for a living.

So since the mexican guy that just stolled though my office is picking up trash and I hate picking up garbage it must be ok for me to talk **** about him. Say he's not educated he can't do anything else (right turn only driver coments) He's a dick cause he was grumpy they other day and didn't take the box out of my office. So he must be an *******. right...that must be ok.

not trying to be a jerk....just showing a point. We all do things like that. All have. All will. I was just being the devils advocate that time. But then I don't know right from wrong.

Yeah the world sucks, huh? *sigh* You know the only thing I have to say against that is that because we live in such a desensitized world, people who go into violent entertainment like NHB fighting, racing, and even football probably are already understanding that the general public are going to laugh at them when pieces of bone are protruding from their leg.

O well, only thing I have to say is to quote Kurt Vonnegut: "So it goes"
