any update on this? i got a ticket for a CVC 27151 and im not sure what to do or where to get tested at

 

yeah......

after spending all this time not getting an answeres from any shops on if they do dB testing or no, i finally found out that i have to go to the BAR and have them do it. yaay......

27151 is easy, they just write that off no problem......

 

what was your measured dB?

 

i havent even gotten it measured yet. and thats a moot point, since its as quiet as stock now....



but if i had to guess.... 110-115dB at WOT? maybe?

 

You're tested at idle and at around half your rpm curve (i.e if u have 8k redline it would be tested around 4k, 7k around 3.5k)

It's measured from an angle about 18 inches from the tip of your exhaust. I would just go to the state ref over at Skyline College. You need to make an appointment tho.
