But that is aside from the point of this thread. I simply asked if anyone is interested in messing around with adding pigments to plastidip to achieve custom colors. I am starting to realize why grade school teachers ask children to raise their hand instead of just letting them throw around their opinions and get off topic.
So, for those interested, what I have gathered is that 50grams of a pigment like the one linked below will cover quite well when mixed with a gallon of clear plastidip and sprayed through a paint gun.

The base coat will dictate the final color just as with paint. Generally the same process as a full paint job minus the wet sanding.
The end result will be a removable color on top of the surface of your choice.

too many variables to consider, rather than simply blame PLASTI-DIP. I dipped a 95 accord and a 06 NINJA 636 and never had issues with the clear. I think all of us can agree on one thing.... PREPping the surface properly...
Variables to consider:
-Paint condition prior to DIPPING
-Was it WAXED?
-WASHED?
-Clay BARred?
-Also consider, maybe your paint wasnt applied correctly? A bad batch of bad DIP?
I understand that the horror stories you are reading and hearing about are plausible, yet one cannot put blame on the product itself, because there are a lot more success stories that FAIL stories.

... but I can't see any bad effects on paint unless there is dirt on the surface or your paint is messed up(or not cured fully for fresh paint) to begin with.
Sure, subaru paint is thin and a bit on the cheap side. But, I still don't see it being pulled off by a vinyl-like spray on coating.

Stupidchicken, please refer to this. Anything is possible. That's not the point, please do not derail my thread. If you want to argue, join a debate team. If you want to pull bits and pieces of info together and act like you understand what a person is saying, go work for kron4.
I doubt any forum, anywhere, needs another argument or debate on plastidip. If you don't like plastidip, don't use plastidip. To each their own.
Community forum does not mean we all think the same. I can respect anyone that doesn't want to use a product, it's their choice.
I thought with that high of a post count you would be more of a contributer than a sh*t stirrer.
