SIG SAUER P226 .40 w/ a concealed carry permit. Don't think I'll be able to keep that though if I move to the Bay Area. What kinda crap I'm I going to have to go thru if I move a gun down to Cali?

you have to get neutered magazines that can only hold 10 rounds.

you see, dumb *** kalif politicians believe you are less of a bad person if your firearm can only hold ten rounds...

oh, when are you moving?

you can make are few extra $$$ by buying handguns that are not on the approved list of handguns to buy in kalif, then LEGALLY selling them to us, thereby skipping all the silliness...

funny should mention 50 cal. one fun fact that most people dont know. the .50bmg ban in kalif is for a shoulder fired firearm only. meaning a rifle.

but if you can find a handgun that fires the .50bmg cartridge, that is legal.

granted, at nearly 5" tall, the .50bmg cartridge will be as long as the barrel on that handgun.

you can however get another 50 cal, like the smith and wesson .50S&W magnum cartridge for their revolver.

it kicks like a motherfuc... shut your mouth. and that is for a 6" to 8" barrel.

now imagine a revolver with a 3" barrel?

Well I'll just have to pretend that my 4 mags don't hold 12, or get one that holds 10.

As for the move date still haven't told Qwest that I'll take the job in Sunnyvale. But if I do take the job I should be moving by August. Anything in particular that you would be interested in? I have many contacts from my active duty time and now that I drill with EOD in the reserves I can play with all sorts of goodies that I can't own.

what you can technically do, is take the mag apart.

parts of a "standard" capacity mags is legal.

you can always put them away for emergencies...
