I just put the thread up today, the date is July 11th, like 2.5 weeks from now. On a Saturday.

Well, it wasn't and I spent a lot of money on that piece of crap. I spent a little more money and got a much better car instead. I wish I would have kept my wrx, as it was fun as hell, but everyone makes mistakes.

And I think since I could seriously lighten it to like ~2680 with a full tank of gas, it would be a blast. To each their own. Not to mention the actual project would make driving it after everything is said and done that much better. Maybe I'm just out of touch.
Its funny you mention that you may be out of touch - I wouldn't say that... it just really boils down to your budget and what you want. I have no doubt that a RS/STi swap would be killer cool but it requires a lot of time/money/effort. Its definitely not for me... main reason being is that unless you keep the car forever, it will be underwater if you decide to sell or part out... but if you have deep pockets its no big deal to take a loss. If thats the case, more power to you!

Also, will you be keeping the Porsche? If you are keeping the Porsche, I would say go for the swap if you want a project to keep you busy. But if you are selling the Porsche I think doing a swap would be a terrible investment.

My 2 cents.

i say buy someone's already LIC-swapped GC/GM frankensubaru. yeah its not your parts spec, but you can change the minor stuff and then get a tune. it's mos def less expensive than doing it all from scratch. i'd say half the price.
