When I had my original 06 wrx, they did a bunch of work on it, including my vf34 setup etc. Definitely cool guys

Of course we can be inside each others cars so you'll be there the whole time, and so will I.

Why did you sell the WRX and STi? If you weren't happy with them, you probably wouldnt be happy with a 10 year old Frankenstein Subaru.

I sold the wrx (and parted it out) because I was totally psyched about the new STI and I thought it was going to be the next best thing since sliced bread.

Well, it wasn't and I spent a lot of money on that piece of crap. I spent a little more money and got a much better car instead. I wish I would have kept my wrx, as it was fun as hell, but everyone makes mistakes.

And I think since I could seriously lighten it to like ~2680 with a full tank of gas, it would be a blast. To each their own. Not to mention the actual project would make driving it after everything is said and done that much better. Maybe I'm just out of touch.

The 04-07 STi is sooo much better feeling (and looking) then the new ones... Just imagine your old WRX, but much better.. Trust me, I'll let you drive mine around the block so you can see what you're missing... Seriously, it's night and day difference to the new 08 models.

Also, one thing I have to say is, if you do get a GC model Impreza, you need to do some chassis stiffining because the stock chassis has a lot of flex compared to the GD model which is 400% more stiff. When you go from a GD to a GC it's the first thing you notice. A weld in roll cage is a very quick fix for that tho...

I loved my GC when it was in its prime... It handled sooo damn nicely with it's TEIN HA coilovers, and stiffening every single thing on the car that could be stiffened... I could get the rear out so easily when making a you turn... Then the car aged and now its not what it used to be.

Well, I still stand by the idea that the 08's are better when you throw money into them -- the chassy is even stiffer and it does have its advantages, just unfortunately for the money spent I would have expected something better from the factory. Not to mention, they had a lot of problems. Was there a date on that drive? Maybe I missed it.
