Ugh such a clean car, but doesn't pass smog. Although some circumstances are understandable, it's very annoying in this state. |

Huh? Headers and a cat and this car will most likely pass. Wouldn't be that complicated or expensive IMO, but the price might be a bit high for asking the buyer to smog it themselves. Does appear to be pretty clean. |

Yes, the car does appear to be super clean, but it really irks me when people think they can sell a car "as is" and pawn the responsibility of smog onto someone else. |
Mmmm... my first Subaru was a Silver 2000 RS Coupe.

For reference, I bought my BAR'd and swapped and smogged 99 2.5RS with a 6 speed, Brembos, and other things for $12k including a new 02 sensor and a compression test. Not saying that car isn't clean. But seems high for what you can get for a few grand more. |

But seems high for what you can get for a few grand more.
Your car is indeed lovely, but while it seems like it would be hard to find a coupe as nice as this one, it seems like it would be even harder to find one that was swapped, and swapped well - including being BAR'd and smogged and all that. Or are these easy to find and for that price these days? I'll be honest and say that I would love to sell my WRX - but I can't even imagine what a pain in the ass that would be haha.. On so many levels. I keep seeing '02/'03 WRXs advertised with "low miles" with like 120k or 130k miles. So what does that make my 2002 with 67k miles then??? Prices seem all over the place. |

$17,000 2008 STi (925) 354-2759

Reason for selling. I looking for a more family car. I was thinking of getting a cx5
I always get annoyed how people do not consider a 4 door hatchback a "family" car and immediately default to SUVs. Is it that they have too much (unnessary) stuff or non-existent space management skills or just need that 'Murican status? :noidea: |

I always get annoyed by comments like this, but, before kids, I said the same exact thing. We use a small 4 door hatchback as our family car, and we have gone quite a few places as a family in my 1991 Justy, so it's definitely possible. We did have a large V8 SUV for a short time, when my son was born, and it was more or less a life saver many times, to have the space, the large/tall doors, and the tinted windows. My boss has 3 kids, all under 7. It would not be possible or legal for him to use that STi hatch as a family car. So there's a reason I guess? There are a million more, and it is perfectly logical that non of them have occurred to you. That being said, there are also a lot of people that want to drive around a big flashy car. |

However, I still don't see why it is not a viable option for a single kid household (may be even 2). Yes, I don't have kids, but I have chauffeured my share of family/friends/volunteer ones to not be completely oblivious  At the end of the day, people can drive whatever their please as long as their finances support it. Probably should have elaborated a little more from the start :) |
